Safety Guidance for exhibitors
From planning the stand to dismantling, from talking to customers to closing a deal: We will ensure that your participation in ECS 2021 is implemented as smoothly and routinely as always. In addition to our proven service, we have developed further pandemic-related measures for you.
What we do for you as an exhibitor:
- New: In order to relieve the amount of people on the stand, wherever possible and necessary, the organiser provides meeting areas where you as an exhibitor can take your guests in order to have conversations away from your stand observing the distance and hygiene rules. This service is free of charge.
- New: "LeadSucces"; the name speaks for itself. With LeadSuccess you can record all the necessary data from your clients via ticket scan. As an exhibitor we will be providing this app for one device to you free-of-charge.
- Comprehensive: FAQs, guidelines and personal advice for all practical questions. Feel free to contact us!
- Fair: Will there be as many visitors as in the past? How many are expected? In view of the dynamic development, it is difficult for us to answer this question, but we can support your investment decision. If there are only 90% or less visitors in 2021 compared to 2019, you will get 10% of your stand space fees back; if less than 80% come, you will even get 15% credited. Herewith we would like to respond to your specific needs
The stand design must take the necessities of social distancing into account. This includes, for example, routing and avoiding bottlenecks. It is recommended that separate waiting areas are created. In the case of active presentation of exhibits or product demonstrations, we recommend that you pay special attention to appropriate precautions (e.g. minimum distance from people, hygiene measures at the exhibit, allocation of time slots for presentations).
In principle, all measures can also be implemented on smaller stands. Should you have any questions in this regard, your contact person in the event team will be happy to help you.
We have already learnt in everyday life how to maintain the minimum distance of 1.50 m. Intelligent visitor guidance ensures that this is also the case at the respective exhibition stands. Compliance with the distance regulations can be ensured, for example, by floor markings, room dividers or traffic light systems.
We recommend a minimum width of 2.00 m for aisles on the stands to ensure safe passage.
The well-known regulations for restaurants in Germany, which naturally also apply to the ECS, allow catering to be provided at the stand. In the case of catering, the applicable regulations for social distancing and the additional official requirements must be taken into account.
As during the trade fair, set-up and dismantling are subject to mandatory registration. All persons entering the grounds are registered electronically. We regulate the number of persons in the halls and in the loading yards.
Here too, of course, the known measures regarding distance and hygiene must be observed.
Distance and hygiene also applies to meetings. We recommend a maximum meeting size of eight people.
For stand construction, the use of smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces is recommended. For furniture, for example, chairs without armrests reduce physical contacts.
In sensitive areas such as reception or catering, where the number of contacts poses a particularly high risk of infection, we recommend additional security measures such as partitions known from the retail trade (e.g. made of acrylic glass).
We recommend cleaning and disinfecting door handles, handrails and frequently used surfaces regularly (several times an hour). The organiser will naturally also provide facilities here.
Procedure Tracking at the exhibition stand
Exhibitors are required to separately record the contact information of conversation partners (for conversations without face covering). NürnbergMesse is providing exhibitors with LeadSuccess, a lead tracking system, for this purpose.
Evening events and stand parties
Unfortunately, stand parties are currently not permitted during the trade fair, as the required distance rules cannot be enforced here. The same applies to parties and exhibitor evenings of the ECS.
